QUICK WEEKEND PROJECTS AT YOUR HOME

It's time for the weekend projects to start! Why not be focused on something that is fun and could be an easy way to elevate the space in your home?

Many projects could feel too big or elevated but these are suppose to be simplified and potentially "easy" enough for the weekend.

Please note, you can ALWAYS hire a professional, handyman or a friend to help. In this case, I have at my own home.

But these are suppose to be straightforward.

Use a little Wallpaper

Choose an accent wall in a room to cover with wallpaper — it elevates and I know a few wallpaper folks to help. Wayzata Hirshfield’s Paint location has an amazing selection and ask for their expert. Or pick up the tools and do it yourself...peel and stick that’s up to you. I have used Magnolia Homes wallpaper samples. Be careful to read directions though as some patterns are harder than others.

Build Picture Ledges

For an art arrangement that doesn't involve a lot of planning, turn to DIY photo ledges. And your new favorite wall. Super easy to change out photos and art when the mood strikes.

Add a Rug Accent

To elevate a room, start shopping for an area rug. There are several things to consider including size, shape, and material. Try a few in-stock places and leave home with it. It really can make a room different.

Install a Wood Accent Wall

A wood accent wall, install large plywood panels on your wall or thin wood planks. You can play with the plywood panel sizes to customize the look you want. Let the wood grain do the talking - no paint needed.

Have a great weekend! Remember you're not alone.
